& Baby Makes Three

(or four)!.

Nothing makes me happier then to see my wonderful couples move through life. Through Engagements, Weddings, and then to catch up and see them start their own families with beautiful babies. It really is one of the best and happiest things about my work.

West Australian Professional Photographers Awards 2013

After winning a Silver Award at the Australian Professional Photography Awards (AIPP), I have been incredibly luck to win two Silver Awards and a Silver Distinction in the West Australian Professional Photography Awards.

It's very hard to be judged against the best photographers in Australia and a very nerve racking day!

Family Portraits

As Ferris Bueller once said, 'Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it'.

Being the tragic 80's child that I am, just shows you I can quote all my favourite John Hughes movies and somehow always relate it to what's happening in my life right now.

But it's true. This quote definitely sums up family life. Children grow up in a blink of an eye, and families only seem to gather for special occasions, like Weddings.

That's why I really enjoy photographing Family Portraits as they are fun, stress free, and I know my clients treasure them as I would treasure family photos of my own family. Sometimes clients come to my studio, sometimes we choose a beautiful park, or sometimes if the family home allows, we'll photograph there.

To Quote a line from Love Actually

'General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often, it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion, ... love is actually all around'.

The first photo was taken on a bridge in Paris, they didn't notice anyone around them. The second in a walkway in Siena, Tuscany. Both lost in their own worlds.

Published Works

A wonderful author from Poland, Elzbieta Grobicka, had approached me sometime ago, asking if she could use one of my favourite images on the front cover of her book. She was kind enough to send me a copy of the published work. It looks wonderful and I wish her all the success in the world!
