International Museum of Women

International Museum of Women, San Francisco USA.

I was lucky enough to be approached by the International Museum Of Women (IMOW) a few years ago when they saw some of my images on mothers and asked me to take part in an exhibition on the topic. It is an incredible organisation with some of the most influential female leaders from around the world supporting it contributing to it and giving voice to it. From political leaders, former female presidents from Latvia to Ireland, Human Rights  activists from Sudan to Afghanistan and that's just to name a few amazing members.  IMOW among other things is an innovative museum that showcases art, stories and ideas to celebrate, inspire and advance the lives of women around the world. I was very humbled to be approached by them again this year to contribute images to be showcased in their 'Mama' exhibition.

Australian Professional Photographers Awards 2012

SILVER
Wedding Photography

As I am a member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) I am eligible to enter their prestigious awards which are held once a year. It is open to AIPP members throughout Australia and the world. This year more than 3,100 images were entered. It's judged over three days and as you can imagine, a very nerve racking time for us photographers to be judged by our best peers. And this year I was lucky enough to win Silver in the very competitive Wedding Photography category. It's a lovely and prestigious recognition as the judges are highly skilled and pretty tough.
